“The Oklahoma City Thunder has fired coach Scott Brooks, a league source told Yahoo Sports.
Thunder general manager Sam Presti traveled to meet Brooks near his California home on Wednesday and delivered the news, sources told Yahoo Sports.

This isn’t really a surprise, rumors have surfaced about the Oklahoma City Thunder looking at coaching candidates over the week. There were also was some questions if Brooks was getting the best out of that roster, which contains two of the best players in all of the NBA. To Brooks defense, OKC did have their fair share of injuries, but ultimately the NBA is a business and they want results.
Going forward this will be an interesting opening to keep an eye on. The next coach will have a huge impact on whether Kevin Durant will stay, in my opinion. If it is someone that Durant has connection with or gets them deep in the playoffs, it could be the difference between him leaving or staying.
