Washington Wizards vs Toronto Raptors: Game 4

The Washington Wizards took on the Toronto Raptors Sunday night at home. They looked to sweep the Raptors and they did.

The Raptors needed to win this game to keep their season alive, and they did not start the game with any urgency or intensity.

Kyle Lowry began the first quarter with three fouls, as he's had virtually no impact in this series.

The Wizards led after the first quarter, 36-22, while shooting 10 of 14 from the field and 13 of 15 from the free throw line. The Raptors tried to make a run, but the Wizards were just too much in the first half. They led by 16 points at halftime, while shooting 54 percent from the field. Marcin Gortat had 12 points and eight rebounds at the half.

The second half was more of the same as the Washington Wizards led by as many as 37 points and pulled away halfway through the third quarter. John Wall scored 14 points and had 10 assists, while Bradley Beal added 23 points.

The Washington Wizards completed the sweep by beating the Raptors 125-94.

Player of the Game: Marcin Gortat. He had 21 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists, while shooting 8 of 9 from the field. Gortat provided the scoring and rebounding the Wizards needed to close out the series.

Dud of the Game: The entire Toronto Raptors. The Raptors came out with no intensity, no fight, and no heart, as they were embarrassed and swept by the Washington Wizards.

Stat of the Game: The Three Point Shooting: The Washington Wizards made 15 out of 26 three pointers, shooting 57.7 percent.

Breakdown: The Toronto Raptors ended their season in a horrible way by losing to the Wizards by over 30. They didn't look like a team that wanted to play and Kyle Lowry had a terrible series. One has to wonder what will happen to this team as they enter the offseason earlier than anyone expected.

As for the Wizards, they get much needed rest, as they await the winner of the series between the Atlanta Hawks and Brooklyn Nets.

The Wizards win the series four nothing. Their next game is to be determined.
