“The Chicago Bulls' Jimmy Butler, who earned his first All-Star selection and set career highs in scoring, rebounding and assists, has won the 2014-15 Kia NBA Most Improved Player Award, the NBA announced today. Butler becomes the first player to win the award with the Bulls.” via NBA.com
Jimmy Butler already established himself as one of the top defenders in the Eastern Conference, but this season he took his offensive game to another level. Butler watched his points per game take a huge jump, going from 13.1 points a game to 20 points a game. This is an impressive feat considering he averaged the same amount of minutes both seasons. That is a major improvement and a big reason he won the Most Improved Player Award.
Butler looks to continue to establish himself as one of the top shooting guards in the league.
