Chicago Bulls General Manager Gar Forman announced today that Tom Thibodeau will not be retained as the team’s head coach. - Via NBA.com/Bulls
No surprise here, it was well known around the league that Thibodeau was on the way out. The relationship between Thibodeau and the Bulls’ management was beyond on repair.
There has been chatter about this firing since the Bulls’ second-round exit in the playoffs. Especially when the team failed to capitalize on a 2-1 series lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers, and failed to show up for Game 6 in which they were eliminated.
It will be interesting to see which direction the Bulls go with their next coach, and which NBA team is able to land Thibodeau.
