Happy NBA Season!
It’s opening night, so there’s only three games and I usually don’t do picks on nights like these but I can’t help myself. I won’t post a full slate of players, but I will give you a few guys I like.
Mo Williams - I like Williams tonight, the Cavs have a lot of guys banged up and could use a little extra scoring from him. Plus, Derrick Rose isn’t 100 percent.
Eric Gordon - Gordon is expected to have a bigger role under new coach Alvin Gentry, which hopefully means more fantasy points. Gordon also averaged over 18 points a game against the Warriors in the playoffs, another plus for this matchup.
Stanley Johnson - This pick is a little risky with Johnson being a rookie, but coach Stan Van Gundy has said Johnson “earned” his minutes.
Ryan Anderson - The Pelicans will likely be missing Omer Asik and Alexis Ajinca tonight, so more minutes for Anthony Davis at the 5 and more minutes for Anderson at the 4. It also has been noted that Anderson is in great shape this season.
Timofey Mozgov - Mozgov will look to pick up where he left off in the postseason. And the Cavs will need his size against the likes of Pau Gasol and Joakim Noah.
