OTG’s Games of the Week are usually a six game affair, but after going with a starting five last week, we decided to drop our sixth man. He was too J.R. Smith like, we just couldn’t count on game six when we needed to. Please join me in a moment of silence for our fallen game.
Golden State Warriors @ Cleveland Cavaliers
Celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. with a 2015 Finals and Christmas Day rematch of epic proportions.
Minnesota Timberwolves @ New Orleans Pelicans
Two of the biggest and most versatile prospects in the last decade face off as Karl-Anthony Towns squares off against Anthony Davis. Both one-year Kentucky products are destined for greatness in the league, and this primetime matchup will only be an early chapter in a rivalry that could go down as being one of the greatest in NBA history. Sure it may be a little early to put that kind of praise on these two, but make no mistake about it, these two facing off for the next decade-plus is going to be a treat.
Boston Celtics @ Toronto Raptors
I could tell you that I chose this game because the Celtics and Raptors are only separated by 3.5 games heading into this week and both will fight for the division crown. But, the real reason I chose this game is because I coach a youth basketball team and we are the Celtics. Our first game is on Thursday, and it’s against the Raptors…
Atlanta Hawks @ Sacramento Kings
Where those Hawks from last year at doe? Atlanta has flashbacks to last season every now and then, but the consistency which made them a terror is gone. The Kings are in a similar situation except they show glimpses of the team they can be this year, while also reverting back to the Queens they were last year. Consistency seems to be a league wide theme this year.
Los Angeles Clippers @ New York Knicks
Hey Knicks fans, I know your team has been on a roll, but we all need to keep calm like Kristaps Porzingis. But I understand if you can’t. because dude looks like a baby Dirk with defense. If you just need to get hype, I got you.
