Furfrou is a gimmick Pokémon that is famous because their fur is styled in hundreds of ways for contests. Lin coincidently, has styled his hair in hundreds of different ways during his career. And no disrespect to Lin, but between his hair styles, teams trying to sign him to take advantage of the “Linsanity” revenue, and his latest Space Jam 3 spoof, Lin’s presence in the league has gotten a lot more gimmicky over the past few years.
Rondea Hollis-Jefferson- Magikarp

Hollis-Jefferson is a young player that the Nets have high hopes for. He has a high basketball I.Q. and is a stout defender. However, he has a very limited offensive game right now, and he sometimes looks completely lost on that side of the ball. If he can develop that part of his game, he has superstar written all over him. Same with Magikarp. As of now, Magikarp is one of the most useless Pokémon around. It flops around like a fish out of water, and only knows the moves Splash and Flail. However, if a trainer has the patience to train it up, then that Magikarp will evolve into the mighty Gyarados! Hollis-Jefferson is not nearly as bad or useless as a Magikarp is, but he does have a lot of work to do before he can reach his true potential. So Nets fans, let the young Hollis-Jefferson flop and splash around on offense for now. Soon enough, he’ll put fear in his opponents’ hearts!
Brook Lopez- Psyduck

Lopez, like Psyduck, might be the most confusing characters out there. Sometimes, he plays like an absolute monster, and other times, he looks as confused and lost as Psyduck does. When he brings all of his tools with him, he is one of the best centers in the game. When he doesn’t, he makes you walk around with your hand on your head in anguish. Just like a…….
Caris LeVert- Unown

LeVert was the Nets first round draft pick this year after trading Thaddeus Young to the Indiana Pacers for his rights. LeVert is coming off of a very bad foot injury and the Nets took a big risk taking a chance on him. The Nets team’s doctor was the physician who worked with LeVert and through inside knwledge, they decided that the risk was worth it. Because of LeVert’s injury, we don’t know how good he will be in the league or if he was worth grabbing. In the Pokémon world, Unown have the same affect. There are 28 different types of Unown, but their mystery makes them more famous than their ability. For years, players have speculated what would happen if you were to catch all 28, just like the Nets are captivated on what LeVert’s potential will be. I think that one year, the guys at Game Freak will reward the trainers that stuck by Unown, just like LeVert will reward the Nets for sticking by him!
