Otto Porter SF WAS – Not that he’s exactly a “bust”, but he’s ranked way too high this year at his ADP. Porter is a type of glue guy you want on your team because he can contribute defensive stats and 3 pointers on a pretty consistent basis. However, he’s just not worth the 4th round or even 5th round price tag.
Reggie Jackson PG DET– Reggie Jax falls into the category of where he’s a better player in real life than he is in fantasy. His efficiency and turnovers puts a dent to his value which is why he’s not one of the elite point guards in fantasy. A point guard who is just average at everything and at less than 1 steal per game just doesn’t have scream upside. Reggie Jax finished with a rank of 90 last season, as I expect him to repeat that this year. He’s not worth his ADP at pick #52.
Brandon Knight PG/SG PHX – He had a nice run last season before he got injured due to high minutes. He also benefited from multiple injuries on the team. Knight has always been solid when given all the run he can handle. This year is different because of the emergence of Devin Booker and the return of Eric Bledsoe. Knight came off the bench in the Sun’s preseason first preseason game, which can actually help his value due to inferior competition. Is he still worth drafting? Absolutely. But at ADP #74? No. Put it this way, Knight finished with a rank of 73, good for 7th round-value, despite the fact he averaged an astounding 36 minutes.
Deron Williams PG DAL– It’s no secret that his best days are behind him. Do not draft players that are injury-prone and at the tail-end of their career, it’s simply wasting a pick. Beginning of 10th round or so in your drafts is when you are chasing upside; players with mid-round potential. Do not pick players of the likes of Deron Williams, Zach Randolph, etc.

Bismack Biyombo C ORL– He had a terrific run with the Raptors towards the end of the season. He’s simply a 2 category specialist with rebounding and blocks. He’s not exactly fantasy-friendly, I would avoid him and let another owner get him.
Michael Carter-Williams PG MIL – MCW has never been a terrific fantasy player. He’s a point guard who can’t shoot, struggles with free-throws and turnovers. A point guard who doesn’t provide you with 3 pointers and efficiency isn’t going to help your fantasy squad. Yes, he might be asked to play more with Middleton sidelined until March, but he isn’t worth a pick in your draft until proven otherwise.
Derrick Rose PG NYK – Much like the other candidates here, another point guard who doesn’t hit enough 3 pointers or give you much steals. DRose’s approach to the game has always been attack the basket, something that doesn’t translate well to fantasy. If you’re desperate for scoring towards the end of your drafts, it makes sense. Otherwise, look the other way.
Tony Parker PG SAS – The future HoFer will go down as one of the best floor generals, as his fantasy relevant days are over. Don’t pick TP because of the name.
