“The Big Fundamental,” Tim Duncan walked away from the NBA prior to the start of the 2016-2017 season. Putting an end to his 19 year career with the San Antonio Spurs. Duncan was one of those players who many people seemingly overlooked year in and year out. In his 19 years in the league Duncan and the Spurs missed the playoffs just once. Duncan finishes as one of the best bigs to ever play the game, some of his biggest contributions came on the defensive end of the court. Duncan has the third highest Defensive Rating of all-time with 95.6; as well as the second highest defensive win share with 106.3 trailing only Bill Russell.
