Round Two. One of the beauties of the NBA playoffs is that it often crowns a “true champion”, i.e. the better team usually wins a series and ultimately, the championship. We seem to be headed on the same path this year. After a first round full of drama and upset potential, the higher seeds flexed their collective muscles and advanced to the second round. The one “upset” of the first round saw the 5th seeded Utah Jazz defeat the 4th seeded Los Angeles Clippers in seven games. Given the first few weeks of playoff basketball, the second round has a lot to live up to, but looking at these match-ups, that shouldn’t be a problem.

And finally, Boston Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas led his team to a 123-111 win over the Washington Wizards in Game One of the Eastern Conference semifinals, finishing with 33 points and one less tooth courtesy of an inadvertent elbow from Wizards forward Otto Porter. Even though he looks more like a Bruin than a Celtic, it is good to see IT4 smiling again.
