*Cleveland sends their 2018 first round pick to Atlanta*
There is a ridiculous amount of drama right now in Cleveland. Dan Gilbert is rumoured to be selling the team and that is a good sign LeBron James may be out. LeBron is also upset the Cavs couldn’t get Eric Bledsoe and Paul George. Cleveland now may need to prepare for the short and the long terms. This trade is a small one that can make a big difference. Remember, they are very likely to get George Hill from Sacramento for Iman Shumpert and Channing Frye. If they do and they pull this trade off they can have a starting five of Hill, Bazemore, LeBron, Love and Dedmon. A much better defensive lineup, even though it’s lighter on offense. Atlanta would do it for an extra first round pick, an intriguing young player in Cedi Osman. Plus, Tristan Thompson can be a solid back up to promising rookie John Collins. The Hawks are in full rebuild this trade helps wit that. For Cleveland this trade isn’t as splash as people may like, but combine with the George Hill trade it stabilizes their team. Also, Dedmon is better than you think.
