Luol Deng has agreed to sign a one-year deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Here are more details on the signing via Adrian Wojnarowski:
“After meeting with Minnesota Timberwolves president of basketball operations and coach Tom Thibodeau on Monday, free-agent forward Luol Deng signed a one-year deal with the franchise. Thibodeau has made no promises to Deng on playing time and role but has offered the chance to earn minutes on a roster that includes three of Deng's ex-Chicago Bulls teammates -- Jimmy Butler, Derrick Rose and Taj Gibson.”
We aren’t sure how much Deng has left in the tank, but we do know the connection to coach Thibs played a big role in this signing.
