Jamal Murray, PG — Denver Nuggets
Murray absolutely crushed from December on, after a slow start shooting 25 percent from three point range the first two months. He got his numbers up and should look to add to that this year. He seems to be going in ninth round, but is worth a look as early as the sixth or seventh. His 2017-18 numbers — 16.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game — are what you can expect for his fantasy floor for the year. The Nuggets have already indicated that he will be the primary point guard, which should lead to an increase in assists
John Collins, PF — Atlanta Hawks
A big time stat stuffer on a bad team last year. He is going to average a double-double and should see an uptick in assists as well. Projections call for him to get 15 points and nine rebounds per game, which I think is just his floor. He is worthy of a pick in rounds four or five. Enes Kanter is going ahead of him in mock drafts, and that’s a big mistake. Collins could easily be the steal of your fantasy draft
Kevin Knox SF-New York Knicks
His Summer League performance showed how much he’s improved from college, and seeing him going in the 10th round in mock drafts is juicy to say the least. In college, Knox struggled shooting and scoring at times. If Summer League is any indication, we will see a rookie who will thrive. He’s going to get a lot of volume and should be a stat stuffer with points, rebounds, and even some assists. He’s going to be a playmaker on a bad team, especially without Kristaps Porzingis
Julius Randle PF- New Orleans Pelicans
He averaged 16 points and eight rebounds in 27 minutes last year, his minutes should go up in New Orleans, and playing alongside Anthony Davis should benefit his fantasy stock. It’s a small sample size, but in his last 12 games last year he averaged 32 minutes, while putting up 19 points and seven rebounds per game. The Pelicans front line is thin, so an increase in minutes on a new team should lead to a great fantasy year for Randle.
Dejounte Murray PG- San Antonio Spurs
Murray should see a big uptick in minutes now that Tony Parker is gone. In 21 minutes per game last year, he averaged 8.1 points 5.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists. He needs to improve his shooting and scoring ability, but if he does, he’ll a guy who will outperform his round nine ADP. The defensive numbers and rebounding are there — if he gets his points per game up to 12 and assists up to five per game, he will be a valuable fantasy asset.
