NBA players are like superheroes to kids and adults. Their incredible abilities marvel us just like the superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With Avengers: Endgame in theaters, we all have superheros on our minds.

The NBA season and playoffs bring us moments that we never forget, which include players showing off their special talents. NBA players can do so much and the talent continues to rise each year.

Why not look at our Marvel heroes and see which NBA players seem to mirror them in various ways. Let’s take a look at Toronto Raptors Small Forward Kawhi Leonard and Scarlet Witch.

One of the best things about Scarlet Witch is that once she begins using her powers and abilities, she’s quite impossible to stop. She is incredibly powerful. Kawhi Leonard has this same ability. Once he gets going, defenders have a hard time guarding him and we are left marveling at his abilities to get to the basket. He can make crazy layups, dunks, and game winners. He is a great lockdown defensive player as well. He has an arsenal of moves just like Scarlet Witch.

Avengers: Endgame spoiler ahead! Read with caution!

When Scarlet Witch first joined the Avengers, in the MCU, we didn’t get to truly see the extent of her powers. We saw amazing things here and there, but it wasn’t until Avengers: Endgame, where we saw her nearly destroy Thanos on her own. He was close to his demise and had to ask for backup fast before it was too late. She single handedly made him suffer and showed us she is a truce force to be reckoned with.

When Leonard signed with the Raptors, he was surrounded by talks of him being a future Los Angeles Lakers player. Will he or won’t he eventually go to LA? Could he join the Los Angeles Clippers instead? And so on.

But if this season and his entire career up until now is any indication, whether he stays with the Raptors or departs to another team, he will be one helluva asset. Leonard has put up impressive stats this season averaging 26.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists. Any team would benefit from having a reliable player like Kawhi Leonard on their team. We saw his rise while he was with the San Antonio Spurs and he continues to shine and make a case for himself to be in the best player conversations.
