NBA players are like superheroes to kids and adults alike. Their incredible abilities marvel us just like the superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe do. With Avengers: Endgame coming back into theaters for a short time, we all still continue to have superheroes on our minds.

The NBA season and playoffs bring us moments that we never forget, which include players showing off their special talents. NBA players can do so much and their talent continues to rise each year.

Why not look at our Marvel heroes and see which NBA players seem to mirror them in various ways? Let’s take a look at Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard and Black Widow aka Natasha Romanoff.

WARNING: Spoilery stuff ahead! Do not read if you have yet to watch Avengers: Endgame!

Black Widow aka Natasha Romanoff was an incredibly talented Russain assassin and spy who went from doing bad things to joining the Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D. Everyone trusted her and regarded her as family. She was always able to go toe to toe with any bad guy whether an alien or person.

She never backed down from the fight. In fact, she was right by Captain America’s side through many fights. Hawkeye’s friendship and love for her brought out the goodness in her. He always had faith in her and they both never gave up on each other.

Romanoff unfortunately dies in Avengers: Endgame but shows us for the last time just how much of a hero she was. She accepted death to get the soul stone. She risked her life for her family and the world.

Damian Lillard is a lethal assassin on the court. He’s dangerous. A force to be reckoned with and one of the best point guards in the game. Whether he’s shooting threes or driving to the hoop for a layup, he’s destroying opponents left and right. He can also deflate the hearts of opponents and their fans with a clutch shot.

His teammates love him, trust him, and rely on him for help when they’re down. Just as Romanoff was so loved by her Avengers family. She was always there when they needed her just as Lillard is there when his teammates need him.

During this year's playoffs, he went toe to toe with Russell Westbrook, further igniting a rivalry between the two point guards. It was special to see. Westbrook was sort of like Lillard’s Thanos. He eventually beat him with his teammates.

Off the court, Lillard has a good heart and loves Portland endlessly. He was awarded the Community Assist Award in 2018 for his continued support of high school students.

Both Damian Lillard and Black Widow are lethal assassins who dominate and are always helping their teammates in battle. They have a heart of gold and are not afraid to get nasty.
