Fantasy Basketball Week 4 has come and gone, did you happen to have a guy on your roster with a 40-point game? Trae Young dropped one on the 12th, Bradley Beal dropped back-to-back 40 pointers this week, and James Harden impressively had three games in a row where he scored more than 40. Maybe your team didn't quite have the success of those three did this week, but no fear, we are here to help!

Week 4 Fantasy Studs

Not including the three guys listed above, here are five other guys who stood out this week.

  • Paul George. Paul George is back! Not only is he back, but he looks like he's back to being one of the most dominate players in the league. If you drafted him, you did so knowing full well that you'd have to wait for his return, but it is clear, it was worth the wait. In his first two games back he is average 35 points a game, with 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists. What makes this even more impressive is that he's doing it in 22 minutes a night.

  • Andrew Wiggins. Wiggins may not make this list too often, so I couldn't pass at the chance of leaving him off this week. He's missed two game with an injury, but in the previous two games he averaged 31.5 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, with a block, and 1.5 steals per game. He's a young guy with a long history, but it looks like he might be starting to figure it all out.

  • Rudy Gobert. In his last three games he's brought in a total 46 rebounds and nine blocks. If that's all he did, that would be good enough, but he's also averaged 22 points per game in that stretch. Might I add, during those three games he only missed five total shots. Five!

  • Fred VanVleet. There are probably better statistical guys I could put here, but how many of those guys were drafted in the late rounds? Not many. VanVleet has been on fire lately, scoring 22.8 points a night for the past four games to go with 4.5 rebounds, eight assists, and two steals a night. He also has a respectable 3.3 three's made average during that span as well. You rarely win a league on draft night, but if you happened to snag VanVleet late, your season is probably going in the right direction.

  • Bam Adebayo. Like VanVleet, other guys have put up some great number this week. But do you really want to see James Harden, or Giannis Antetokounmpo here every week? Besides, Adebayo has one of the best names in the league and this week he was great. 17.3 points, 14.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, with 67% shooting the past three games is fantastic. Also like VanVleet, he wasn't drafted nearly as high as other names, but he is quickly becoming a household name.

Week 4 Fantasy Duds

Here are five guys, that didn't have the best week.

  • Dejounte Murray. Murray has struggled with consistency all year and that didn't change this week. One night he'll give you a near triple double, the next night it'll be four points and four assists on 25% shooting. He has the physical tools to be great, but it might take awhile to get there.

  • Steven Adams. I typically like my almost 7-footers who are built like a superhero to rebound well. Unfortunately for Adams, this week wasn't a strong rebounding week. In the two games he played he had a total of 12 rebounds, he also only added 17 total points. This may just be who Adams is, and not the big guy in former teammate, Russell Westbrook's rebounding shadow.

  • Miles Bridges. Bridges is owned in 78% of standard Yahoo leagues, and I would imagine that number is going to drop rapidly soon. In his last game, he went 0-8 from the field for a total of zero points. The game before he shot 50%, but he only scored seven points. There's not much to hang on to right now.

  • Marc Gasol. Like Bridges, Gasol is surprisingly owned in 75% of standard Yahoo leagues. Gasol looks like a shell of his former self. He averaged just over six points and six rebounds this past week, while shooting under 30%, which is absolutely terrible for a big man.

  • Joe Ingles. Last season "Jingles" was a really solid player. He was scoring around 12 points a night, to go along with 4 rebounds and nearly 6 assists as a starter. This season, he's coming off the bench and things haven't fared too well. This past week he's only averaging 6.3 points a night, with 27% shooting. Maybe he figures out how to excel in his new role, but don't be afraid to jump ship now.

Week 4 Overview

CBS Sports

Probably the biggest news this week was Carmelo Anthony signing with Portland Trail Blazers. He's not included in the list below of potential waiver wire finds, but he's definitely worth a look for your team. He's currently owned in just 34% of standard Yahoo fantasy basketball leagues. Who knows what to expect. This season has been riddled with injuries for many teams, and chances are your team has suffered a setback or two already.

The slight good news about all of the injuries, if you can call it good news, is that if your team is dealing with injured players, chances are so are other teams. One thing to think about, is trying to buy low on players who are either under-preforming, or guys dealing with injuries. Sure, there is always a risk in trading, especially for injured guys, but there are always deals to be had too.

Under Yahoo's "Research" tab is a trade market link, there you can see deals made in other leagues. Some of these trades are down right baffling, so don't think that your deal that seems to heavily favor your squad is out of the question. Weird trades happen all the time.

Waiver Wire Potential

Here are 10 guys who are owned 50% or less in standard Yahoo fantasy basketball leagues that could possible help your team this week.

NBA.com

  • Coby White, PG (47%). White has seen an increase in minutes lately and appears to have the green light to launch the basketball off the bench for the Chicago Bulls. Twice this week he made six or more thee's in a game, while sprinkling in a few assists and rebounds. Plus, his hair is so fun to watch during games you might as well put him on your fantasy team for that alone.

  • Dario Saric, PF/C (47%). This isn't Saric's first time on the list, and the past three games he's averaging 17.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.0 assists each night, while shooting over 60%.

  • Alec Burks, PG/SG (43%). The Warriors rolled out Draymond Green as their point guard against the Pelicans. No really, Draymond Green. They are grasping for something to work given the amount of injuries they have right now. With D'Angelo Russell out for awhile, someone is going to eat up those minutes at the point guard spot, and Burks might be the most qualified.

  • Nicolas Batum, SG/SF (36%). Batum is finally back, and while in his first game of the season he didn't exactly blow anyone away, there is potential there for Batum to be solid across all categories. He only scored three points, but he did have nine rebounds, six assists, a steal and a block. So there is a chance he could be a nice flyer for your team if you need wing help.

  • Nemanja Bjelica, PF (32%). I don't know how to pronounce his name correctly, but I do know that while Marvin Bagley III is out, Bjelica is filling in nicely. If your team could use 15 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and a steal each game, then Bjelica is your guy!

  • Moritz Wagner, PF (26%). Anytime a guy scores 30 points with 15 boards off the bench, he's going to be worth a look. Even if it's just for a short time to see if lightning will strike twice. He's going to have some consistency issues with the Wizards, jumping from 25 minutes one night, to 14 the next. But hey, 30 and 15 off the bench is too nice to pass up.

  • Markelle Fultz, PG/SG (24%). Are you surprised to see Fultz here? Probably not, because I've been saying his name for awhile now. He's still not there yet, but he's getting really close. On his Sunday match-up against the Washington Wizards, Fultz had 19 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal. However, what really stands out is that he shot 80% from the field. As his confidence grows, people are going to see why he was drafted as high as he was.

  • Rodney Hood, SG/SF (16%). The Trail Blazers are struggling through injuries right now and need someone to step up in a big way. Hood is dealing with a minor back injury, but in his two games back he's averaging 20.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.5 three's, while shooting over 65%.

  • Langston Galloway PG/SG (15%). If you need points and 3's, then there is a good chance Galloway is available right now. He's had nine straight double-digit scoring games, and his most recent 32-pointer game included seven made three's.

  • Malik Monk, SG (14%). Given time, Monk can be a special player. He's going to have some growing pains, but these past four games Monk has shown he belongs. He's averaging 16.5 points, 6 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and nearly two three's a game.
