Veteran point guard Chris Paul will be traded to the Phoenix Suns, according to multiple reports. Oklahoma City will send CP3 and Abdel Nader to Phoenix in exchange for Kelly Oubre Jr, Ricky Rubio, Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque and a 2022 protected first-round pick.

There were whispers that Phoenix's lone bonafide star, Devin Booker, was growing frustrating with the team's progress. The Suns haven't qualified for the postseason in a decade, and at age 24, Booker is about to step into his prime. There was little doubt Phoenix was going to make a splash this offseason.

Paul is fresh off of an All-NBA season, and brings a wealth of experience and leadership to a young, untested Suns locker room. Though his hefty contract and health history are reason for concern in the desert, there's plenty of upside for this move.

For complicated cap reasons, it's possible this move isn't finalized for a few days. Phoenix may execute its offseason plans and signings before coming back to the deal.
